Find Your Lost Stuff with Tile

It’s hard not to worry about losing your stuff and often the things we care about the most are the ones we can't live without. Thankfully, there’s a solution that will put your mind at ease. Tile is a keychain sized square that can be attached to virtually anything. Slip it into your wallet or purse, attach it to valuable electronics, or clip it onto your keychain and never have to worry about losing them again.
Tile helps you keep track of your stuff by tethering it to your phone through the Tile app. You can also use the web interface for tracking if your phone is unavailable. Using a bluetooth connection, Tile can help you find things up to 100ft away. Because it does not have GPS capabilities, Tile keeps track of the last time your phone “saw” your tile, if you’re within 100ft, the pinging features can lead you right to your lost item. One of the interesting features of Tile is its community of users. If you lost your wallet and are more than 100ft away, tile alerts other users when your lost item is near, sending a notification to your phone. When you’re getting closer to your lost item, Tile will alert you by showing an increase in Bluetooth signal. Within the Tile application you can name and label up to 8 different tiles.

While Tile may be helping people everywhere keep tabs on their valuables, there is a downside. There is no way to charge or replace the batteries in your Tile. Once the battery in your Tile has worn down, you will need to purchase a new Tile to replace it. Since Tile is a new product, it’s unclear how long the battery will last, but makers of Tile state that the battery life is about a year.

Tile is a great option for people that are often misplacing things. Tiles can be purchased from their website, thetileapp.com, in different denominations; 1 for $25, all the way up to 8 for $130. For all of your Apple needs, contact us at support@cranstonit.com.
