Evernote: Remember Everything

Evernote is an essential organizational tool. It keeps all of your text notes, web pages, files and images organized and synchronized onto every device and computer you use including Apple, Windows and Android products. You can keep every aspect of your life right at your fingertips, which will save you time and allow you to be much more productive.
The reason Evernote is so useful is because it’s completely customizable and it automatically syncs with all of your devices. You make Evernote into the tool you personally need.

How you use it is completely up to you. The possibilities are endless. You could take pictures of products or meeting notes, grab an article from the internet to read later, or organize an upcoming trip. You could even make it into a mobile office with notes and links to all of your projects and contacts. It can be used individually or shared collaboratively.

The new Evernote 5 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch was released in November. This new version is visually pleasing and easy to use. The main screen has two section: Quick Notes and Views. So, you can create a new note or browse your note library with just a few clicks or taps. It’s all literally right at your fingertips. The new version also has a Places feature that shows you all of your notes on a map. Evernote 5 also gives you options for organizing into notebooks, stacks of notebooks, and tags. Because Evernote indexes every word in every note, your notes are completely searchable.

There’s a free Evernote app available from the App Store and a free download for your computer on the Evernote website. The free versions have limited storage space but more than enough room for you to get started and to get a good feel for the product.

You’ll also need to download the web clipper so you can grab images you want to save. The web clipper works well on your computer, but isn’t iPad or iPhone compatible, so plan to copy and paste URLs into notes from those devices.
