September has been a busy month for Apple. With the usual fanfare that accompanies its fall releases, Apple unveiled the Apple Watch Series 2 featuring the WatchOS 3 operating system.

The Apple Watch Series 2 is faster, brighter, and smarter than its predecessor. The dual core processor is 50% faster and the display is two times brighter. This means less time for apps to load and you’ll be able to see the display much more easily when outside.
With built in GPS, water resistance to 50 meters, and greatly enhanced fitness and activity tracking capabilities including a heart rate sensor and comprehensive workout app, you can go farther with this watch than ever before. The GPS, in particular, will be especially appealing to runners, bikers, and anyone who exercises outdoors. You no longer need to carry your iPhone to track your route and movement.

The new Watch comes in several styles ranging in price from $369 for an aluminum case with a sport or woven nylon band, to $1249 for a ceramic case with a sport band. There is also a Nike+ version which features an aluminum case and Nike sport band for $369 and another high end version featuring a stainless steel case with an Hermès band for $1149. The latter two models are available as pre-order only right now.
